(2025)
The Marksman Scholarship is a $5,000 award (5 provided per year) established to honor individuals who demonstrate exceptional effort in their academics as well as their community. Named after Mark Plyer, a figure widely recognized for his commitment to inspiring positive change and encouraging communities to come together, this scholarship seeks to empower students who embody those same values of empathy, curiosity, and innovation.
Applicants are encouraged to share how their personal goals align with the spirit of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, whether through art, leadership, service, or other creative pursuits that foster connection and understanding.
This scholarship supports those who approach challenges with both imagination and integrity, highlighting the power of hard work and community in shaping a better world. The recipient will be someone who not only strives for excellence in their chosen field but also seeks to bring hope, laughter, or light to those around them. The Marksman Scholarship celebrates the idea that one person’s ability to hit the mark on society may change it for the better. With our help, we believe that more and more people may be the next marksman.
